Some women have this preconceived notion that dressing modestly limits themselves. It seems that they believe that if one does not dress how she pleases (scandalously, or not), that she is jeopardizing every woman’s pursuit for equality. But in reality, dressing provocatively cancels out the efforts of every hard working woman who has tried to make the world see the true worth of women (not to mention the intention that God had for each and every one of His beautiful princesses). Dressing with only the desire to seduce completely demeans women and femininity; it takes away from our true purpose on this planet which is to glorify our Father in Heaven.
Don’t be concerned about the outward beauty of fancy hairstyles, expensive jewelry, or beautiful clothes. You should clothe yourselves instead with the beauty that comes from within, the unfading beauty of a gentle and quiet spirit, which is so precious to God. This is how the holy women of old made themselves beautiful. 1 Peter 3:3-5
